2010 Hot Toys Old Games Refreshed

Games have always been a part of growing up so it’s not surprising to see a few games listed in the hot toys of 2010. With advances in technology many of the games can be played against an electronic player or alone if someone doesn’t have an available sibling or friend who is available to play.

Families are starting to spend more time together and having games available to play would be a nice way to spend an evening. Finding the right game to play makes it fun for kids and people who are kids at heart. When looking for the perfect gift this holiday season; choosing a game might just right. Scrabble Flash

Scrabble Flash is a new take on an old favorite. This game is for children 8-years-old and up. With the small pieces, it could be a choking hazard for small children. This game can be played by one or more people and doesn’t use a board.

With Scrabble Flash there are five electronic tiles that the player moves together to form 3-5 letter words. The technology times the game and keeps score. Other games can be played like 5 letter flash, where only 5 letter words count. A player can challenge themselves to beat previous scores or challenge other people to play against them and the clock.

Cuponk!

This is a game that requires skill and eye/hand coordination to sink the shot. There are 3 different cups to choose from and if you sink your shot you will see the cup light up and hear different sounds. There are also cards if to use to make this into a game with friends where they have to make the shot on the card. Gorillanator with Ramp makes a gorilla sound when the ball goes in the cup, El Campeon with Funnel makes wrestling sounds when the ball goes in the cup or Let it R.I.P. with Backboard makes killer zombie sounds when the ball goes in the cup.

Loopz

This is a fun skill game where kids have to mimic the patterns of the loops that flash and play a sound. As the game progresses, the loops flash faster. Motion sensors register the child’s hand pass into the loop and the game is over when the player misses 3 times. Loopz offers 7 game options and is about memory and speed. Geared toward children 7 years and older, this game is for 1-4 people. Loopz will provide hours of fun for kids and adults might enjoy playing too.

LEGO Minotaurus Game

LEGO Minotaurus game is really fun for two to four players 7 years old and over that is made entirely out of LEGO blocks. Even the dice is built out of LEGOs. Players navigate a maze to find the hidden temple and have to avoid traps from other players and the Minotaurus to win. The game takes approximately 30 minutes to play and the small pieces are a choking hazard for small children.
