2010 Hot Toys for Younger Kids Under 4 years old

It’s the time of year when people start to look for holiday gifts for the children in their lives; 2010 Christmas toy shopping brings joy and trepidation as parents, grandparents and others search for the perfect gift. Smart Trike 3-in-1 Deluxe is sure to be one of the hottest gifts this season because of the versatility of the toy. For a child around 10 months old it is similar to a stroller with handle bars and peddles that allows the little one interactive play. When the child is walking and closer to 15 months old, the Smart Trike converts to allow the parent to control with the handle but the child can peddle and navigate. When the child has more balance and control at 24 months old, the handle can be removed and it turns into a tricycle.

Lil Zoomers Spinnin’ Sounds Speedway is a lot of fun for kids 6 months and older. SingAMaJig’s are cute and colorful plush toys that can interact with each other. Each one has its own song it sings, like ‘Slip to My Loo,’ that plays when their bellies are squeezed. If there are two or more squeezed at the same time, they sing in perfect harmony. These toys are selling fast and range in price from about $16-$30 each. They have already sold out at ToysRUs and other sites have limited quantities. They require two ‘AA’ batteries that are included.

Tonka Chuck’s World Garage Deluxe Playset is part of the Tonka product line and includes ‘Chuck’ the dump truck in this playset that can be expanded to add to other sets or used by itself. Boys will have fun setting up the stunt park for Chuck. This set comes with a book and the four ‘AA’ batteries are included. There are small parts that could be a choking hazard so this toy is not recommended for children under 3 years old.

The Playmobil 123 Large Zoo will provide hours of fun and activities for kids who love animals. The zoo comes complete with a baby elephant, monkey, zebra and giraffe. Fencing, a tree, a dad and a daughter are also included in the package. Playmobil 123 also makes a zoo veterinarian playset, garage, playground, meadow, zoo, animal farm, and large farm playsets to increase the fun and interactivity for children.  This toy may also contain small parts so it is not recommended for children under 3 years old.

It is good to see that many of the hot toys for 2010 are made by companies that have been around for many years and can be used to teach, as well as entertain. Anytime kids are able to learn while playing; it is a benefit to them and their development.

The hot toys for 2010 are already starting to sell well and in some cases sell out. This is a good time to start making decisions about what to buy and start buying gifts. Any child will want to dance along and Mickey also plays interactive games like ‘Mickey says.’ This toy will be a lot of fun and anyone who likes Disney will like to dance along with Mickey. Mickey requires six ‘AA’ batteries that are included. These hot toys will be a big hit in 2010 and keep children entertained and engaged.
