Treasure's Consignment Shop
Treasure's Consignment Shop has been at Washington Square Mall for sometime but recently changed it's name from Treasure's Antiques. Treasure's Consignment Shop will accept items in good condition, especially antiques and sell them in one of their shops. They keep a part of the money the item sells for as a commission to cover their expenses and make their profit. Currently they have three stores in Washington Square Mall.
The largest store contains mostly furniture. Some of the carved designs on the wood are very detailed and not something you find anymore. They also have a large area of sale items that include older toys, electronics, appliances and many vinyl records that people have consigned to Treasure's.
There are so many unique items that it is very easy to go from one area to the next and very rarely see the same thing twice. Whatever style someone is decorating a home or room in; they can find something that will make a great conversation piece to complete their vision.
St. Mary's Medical Services at the Mall
St Mary's Outpatient Rehabilitation -
St Mary's Medical at Washington Square Mall
Washington Square Mall has added to their level of service to the community by accepting medical offices as tenants and providing transportation in the form of a shuttle service for patrons who have ambulatory issues. The shuttle is similar to a golf cart and makes it easier for people to move from the entrance to the medical service they need. There are benches for people to sit on while they wait for the shuttle and it seems to be a very popular service.
The medical services provided at Washington Square Mall are affiliated with St. Mary's hospital and include xrays, labwork, pre-procedure services, the general practitioner's doctor's office of husband and wife Dr's Brake, a senior health center and outpatient rehabilitation.
There is another's doctor's office located in the mall that provides general practice, pediatric services, pain management clinic and other general practitioner services. Patients do seem to find the location, parking and accessibility to the shopping and other services available to be a benefit.
Good Service is Good Business
Washington Square Mall encourages people to walk around the interior of the mall for climate controlled exercise. There are also many community events held in the mall like cars shows, annual library book sales, Santa Clothes Club Telethon each year, and many other community and charity events throughout the year.
Overall it does seem that Washington Square Mall has found a way to compete with other malls in the area for business by not competing. Essentially this mall is writing its own new story by making the goal more about service and satisfying patrons needs than keeping up with the ever changing retail desires of people. In the long run, by filling the mall with essential businesses than luxuries for the community it has improved the chances of future success.

I live out of town and when I come to Evansville, Washington Square Mall is the only place I stop. So exciting as far as the stores go, a great, open, atmosphere, and a very clean facility. I love this mall because it's not only a landmark, but it's so much better than the impersonal Eastland Mall, which I refuse to enter ever again. Washington Square is a treasure to Evansville that will keep many people coming from far for years to come! Thanks WSM!
nice commnicate with customer.i happy with ur service...
I hate to burst your bubble, but Washington Square is out of date, out of style and really only provides elderly people with a place to walk for exercise that's out of the elements. Just Cookies is the only good thing in there!
Noelle, I'm sorry to read your post, but I feel that you're completely wrong. I find Washington Square to be very in style and useful. I must agree with Johnathan. If you're visiting Evansville, this is the place to stop. Avoid Eastland Mall if at all possible! Washington Square does offer something for everyone! It's a treasure to the Evansville community...and has been since 1963. I would be very pleased to see Eastland shuttered and taken away. Washington Square is the only mall needed for the community. Eastland is a place for crime, high prices, and a destruction of good old-fashion family time out on the town.
While SOME think WSM is out of date, it lends a certain intamacy of the good old days when superstores and huge malls were some developers dream. The eastland experience is overkill on a major scale. Boutiques and shops are a thing of the past, WSM is a nice middle ground, it's not a two hour hike to find what you want and the people seem truly happy to help and glad to have you. I think WSM suits anyone who thinks a smile and personal serviceis good business. I agree with the person who wishes to see Eastland Gone. WSM still offers a sense of community. the people treat you with a smile instead of being treated as a bother as I have found in OTHER locations here in town.

This is a truly fantastic guide to the Washington Square Mall. Sometimes, I find malls like this are so big, I hardly know where to start, and often park in the completely wrong place, way too far from a convenient exit or the shops I want to visit. Your hub offers all the information one would need to plot out a perfectly pleasant and efficient visit- plus your notes on service are stellar. Thanks so much for creating this comprehensive guide!
